This horrible weather just keeps on coming up from Antarctica but it's been good for gumboot sales. People don't like walking in all this slush in their shoes. We have been having a great time hearing from people all over New Zealand who are getting the heaviest snow they have seen for years. The perfect excuse to buy a lovely pair of Barbour's.
It's nice to be knowing that we are helping lots of feet stay dry and warm and making the snow and the school run a bit more manageable for lots of Kiwi yummy mummy's - but lets hope the spring comes soon!
Snow always makes everything look so pretty. I was a little bit worried about everyone out on the roads with the ice this morning though. Enzo has been enjoying jumping up out of the snow drifts yesterday trying to surprise people. He doesn’t seem to realise his dark black coat makes him easy to spot in a white blanket of snow! Here is a picture of Geo and I out on the lawn, wrapped up nice and warm, as the snow fell. Red Barbours photograph so well. Before this I had pale blue Hunter gumboots and they just didn’t photograph as well. These red ones always look amazing in pics. Very important!!
We are loving the brilliant sunshine today, and enjoying all the nice responses to our wellies newsletter.
